Now i10 lovers have something to rejoice. The Grand i10 facelift is coming to Indian Markets in the first half of 2017.
Since its arrival in 2014, Hyundai Grand i10 has been doing pretty well in Indian markets. With this car, Hyundai entered a new segment in Indian car market.
After its release, this is the first time that grand i10 is getting a facelift. With this facelift, the automaker is expected to increase its volume. As the name suggests it’s a minor face lift and not a design change so – the car gets some minor changes done, overall the dimension of the car remains the same.
The facelift version of Grand i10 comes with lot of upgrades. Up front – you get a hexagonal grille similar to the elite i20. The headlights come with DRL’s (Day Time Running Lights) and front bumper is completely new – with fog lights being integrated and alloys get new 14” design.
Similarly, the rear bumper has been re-designed; expect the car to come with rear fog lights rather than reflectors as in the current version.
The interior of the car also gets some changes – expect the top of the line variant to come with touch screen and sat nav being updated.
Safety aspect has also been given a look at – now the car should get airbag + ABS as standard across the range.
The Diesel engine should see a slight upgrade from 1.1 to 1.2L – to increase the torque which has been low on the earlier diesel engine.
The above changes does give Grand i10 more value and should help Hyundai keep on increasing its numbers.
Toyota is introducing its latest 8th generation car – Camry – that will be showcased in the Detroit Motor Show. Compared to the outgoing version – the new Camry looks noticeably different outside and completely re designed from inside. Toyota is implementing the Toyota Human Machine Interface theme where the car looks and feels driver oriented. They have tilted the dashboard towards the driver seat.
As the car is longer and wider now compared to the outgoing variant, it has become more spacious both in terms of head room and leg room. Toyota designers have lowered the overall height of the car – this should make the ride more stable at higher speeds. The new Camry is getting newer generation suspensions to make the ride more plus and compliant.
When it comes to equipment, the car gets a new entertainment system with Sat-Nav integrated -expected to be compatible with Apple Carplay and also have integration with Google. TFT screen should make use of the system easy under different light conditions.
Safety has always been important for #Toyota. Apart from the standard 10 airbags, Camry’s safety features include Brake Assist (BA), Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) and Traction Control system to name a few.
Camry’s engine is expected to come with V4 2.5L and v6 3.5L. We expect the engines to give us the same rock solid Toyota performance to boot and be good with fuel economic markets.
Expect #India launch of the all-new Camry at a dealership near you by the end of this year.
India’s fascination with Mercedes brand has been well known, we have grown up watching movies where the luxury vehicle was associated with the upper crust of the society.
The first car that Mercedes launched in India was the E class, it is their bestselling car in India and the segment too. The present E class is quite spacious enough with ample legroom, headroom both at the front and rear cabin. Although it’s next Gen W213 car has been present globally for a long time now, it has been absent from the Indian markets.
Mercedes has now decided to launch the LWB (long wheelbase) version in India guise this March. Primary reason is they consider #India important market and want it to have the latest products available here too. This new E class will be the longest sedan in its segment and will be most spacious in cabin space.
By launching this car, #Mercedes is hoping to push its sale in the Indian market. The E class LWB will be 5,063 mm in length and has a wheelbase of 3,079 mm.
Compared to the standard E Class, it is 140 mm longer. The engine will be a 3.0L V6 turbodiesel in the E 350 D variant and a 2.0 L turbocharged 4-cyl petrol motor in the E 300 variant.
This car will likely be a big hit among those buyers who cannot afford super luxurious cars by Mercedes S class as they would be getting rear seat comfort.
